- 3 cups sweet potatoes, cooked and mashed
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
- 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, melted butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth.
- Transfer the sweet potato mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle mini marshmallows and chopped pecans on top if desired.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until heated through and golden on top.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Consider substituting honey or agave syrup for maple syrup for a healthier option. You can also try adding crushed graham crackers or oats for variation.
