Description
Decadent and fudgy brownies adorned with a whimsical spider web design, perfect for Halloween celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 oz dark chocolate (chopped)
- 0.5 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 0.75 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the chopped dark chocolate and unsalted butter over simmering water. Stir until smooth and remove from heat.
- Stir in granulated sugar until well combined. Whisk in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract and salt.
- Fold in the all-purpose flour until just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for about 25 minutes or until the edges are set but the center is slightly gooey.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely. Whisk together powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon of milk to achieve a thick, pourable icing.
- Once the brownies are cool, drizzle the icing in concentric circles, using a toothpick to swirl and create a web design.
- Let the icing set before cutting the brownies into squares and serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, consider using sugar substitutes or dairy-free alternatives. Store brownies in an airtight container.
