- 3 tbsp strawberry jam
- 3 tbsp caster sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp milk
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Use a large round cutter to cut beautiful rounds from each slice of bread.
- Spread 1 tablespoon of strawberry jam into the center of 3 bread rounds.
- Top each jam slice with another bread round to form sandwiches.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
- Spread caster sugar on a flat plate.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture and place in the skillet, cooking for about 2 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Coat sandwiches in caster sugar while warm.
- Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
