- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup Thai basil leaves, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 8 rice paper sheets
- Lettuce leaves for wrapping
- Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped Thai basil, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the vegetable oil. Cook the beef mixture for about 5 to 7 minutes until browned, then cool slightly.
- Prepare a shallow dish with warm water and soak one rice paper sheet for about 10 to 15 seconds until pliable.
- Place a lettuce leaf on the softened rice paper, add a spoonful of the beef mixture, fold sides inwards and roll tightly from bottom to top.
- Arrange beef rolls on a platter and garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve with a side of dipping sauce.
Notes
For best results, ensure ingredients are fresh. Experiment with dipping sauces for variety.
