Description

Delightful Thai Basil Beef Rolls combining fragrant Thai basil with succulent ground beef, wrapped in soft rice paper for a flavorful experience.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup Thai basil leaves, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 8 rice paper sheets
  • Lettuce leaves for wrapping
  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped Thai basil, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the vegetable oil. Cook the beef mixture for about 5 to 7 minutes until browned, then cool slightly.
  3. Prepare a shallow dish with warm water and soak one rice paper sheet for about 10 to 15 seconds until pliable.
  4. Place a lettuce leaf on the softened rice paper, add a spoonful of the beef mixture, fold sides inwards and roll tightly from bottom to top.
  5. Arrange beef rolls on a platter and garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve with a side of dipping sauce.

For best results, ensure ingredients are fresh. Experiment with dipping sauces for variety.
