- 2 cups fresh Thai basil leaves
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Spring roll wrappers
- Vegetables for filling (e.g., carrots, bell peppers, cucumbers)
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef, cooking until browned and fully cooked through.
- Stir in the soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and fold in the fresh Thai basil leaves.
- Lay a spring roll wrapper flat on a clean surface. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture along with chopped vegetables in the center.
- Carefully roll the wrapper tightly around the filling, folding in the edges to seal.
- Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling until all ingredients are used.
- Serve fresh or lightly pan-fried until golden brown.
Notes
Add lime juice to the filling for a zesty kick. Include cabbage or bean sprouts for added texture. Serve with dipping sauce for extra flavor.
