Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually add the icing sugar, mixing until well combined and smooth, about 2 minutes.
- Add cornstarch, all-purpose flour, vanilla extract, and salt, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Using a piping bag or cookie scoop, pipe or place rounded balls of dough on the baking sheets, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
- If desired, sprinkle with decorative sprinkles or colored sugar.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
